How Training Works

Before Class
Employees will receive access to required self-paced coursework to complete before the live session.
During Class
Expect an interactive experience with scenarios, activities, and opportunities to practice applying what the team is learning.
After Class
Employees will complete the required course components and each receive a Mental Health First Aid certification.

How many people can participate in a private training?
Private Mental Health First Aid training requires a minimum of 5 participants. We’ll work with you to determine the best class size and training setup for your organization.
How much does team Mental Health First Aid training cost?
Pricing depends on the number of participants and your organization’s training needs. Contact us with your approximate group size, and we’ll provide clear pricing before you commit.
Is team training available virtually?
Yes. Bright Sky House offers live, instructor-led virtual training, making it easy to bring together employees or team members from different locations.
How long does the training take?
Participants complete approximately 2 hours of self-paced online pre-work, followed by 5–6 hours of live, instructor-led training.
Do participants need mental health experience?
No. Mental Health First Aid is designed for everyday people. Participants do not need previous mental health training or clinical experience.
Does everyone receive a certification?
Participants who successfully complete the required coursework and live training receive a Mental Health First Aid certification valid for three years.
Can the training be customized for our organization?
The Mental Health First Aid curriculum remains consistent, but we can learn about your organization beforehand and help make the training experience relevant to the people and situations your team encounters.
How far in advance should we schedule?
We recommend reaching out as early as possible, especially if you have a specific date or timeframe in mind. We’ll work with you to find an available training date that fits your team.
